MUKAH: More than 30 students of Mukah’s Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) made a recent visit to a stingless bee (Kelulut) farm located at Kampung Tellian Ulu, in Mukah.
The visitors, accompanied by two teachers, were not only touring the farm but were also briefed on the process of kelulut rearing activities by the owner.
Since its establishment few years ago, the centre has been the target of the kelulut enthusiasts in the region as the centre has over 500 kelulut nests made out of durable materials.
The operator, Manuchihr Smith, pointed out that his farm, Trigona Kelulut Farm under Trigona Enterprise located at the backyard of his house, is always open for all. Some of the visitors were outside Sarawak, he said.
