MIRI: The district’s traffic authorities have issued a total of 57 summonses to errant motorists during an operation today.
An integrated roadblock mounted along Jalan Bintulu-Miri near Taman Aman was carried out by Miri Road Transport Department (RTD) and Miri Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division.
Held between 10 am and 12 pm, the operation saw 14 officers inspect a total of 120 vehicles.
RTD issued 30 summonses while, police issued 27 summonses to motorists — all for various offences under the Road Transport Act 1987.
The department thanked the Miri district police headquarters (IPD) for its continued strategic cooperation to ensure that safety and compliance with road laws continues to be strengthened.
