KUCHING: The Asia Pacific Green Hydrogen Conference and Exhibition 2024 (APGH) conference will be held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) here starting June 10 – 12.
Deputy Minister of Energy and Environmental Sustainability, Datuk Dr Hazland Abang Hipni said the three days conference will involve more than 700 international delegates coming from 27 countries around the world.
“Most of the countries involved are major players in the hydrogen industry worldwide including Japan, Korea, Singapore, the United Kingdom and Australia.
“We expect over 4,000 visitors over the three days conference and over 20,000 virtual visitors,” he told reporters after paying a courtesy visit to Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Wisma Bapa office yesterday (May 30).
Dr Hazland added that Abang Johari is expected to deliver a keynote speech on the hydrogen economy and hydrogen industry planning for Sarawak during the conference.
APGH’s main goal is to attract investors, collaborators, industry partners, researchers and delegates interested in fostering the growth of businesses and industries related to green hydrogen and renewable energy.
This conference is poised to be a beneficial platform for partnerships between the government and investors, as well as between the government and the private sectors.
Also present during the visit were Borneo Business Connect Sdn Bhd director Datuk Dr M Ganelhi and Borneo Business Connect Sdn Bhd executive director Nadzeem Abdul Rahman.
