SIMUNJAN: P.Y.U.A team emerged champions of the Dato ‘Sri Hajah Nancy Haji Shukri 2017 Futsal League held at the Open Futsal Court, Padang Central Simunjan, here, last Sunday.

However, the team had to battle their way through before winning 3-2 against Legendary team through penalty shootout in the final after both team tied to a goalless draw at full time.

With the victory, P.Y.U.A. team took home a cash prize of RM2,000, the championship trophy, an accompany trophy and medals while Legendary team received a cash prize of RM1,500, a trophy and medals.

Meanwhile, Sekendu B team came in third to receive a cash prize of RM1,000, a trophy and medals after defeating the Belia Ranting Rangawan Hiri team with 2-0.

Belia Ranting won a cash prize of RM500 and medals.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s and Member of Parliament for Batang Sadong P.200, Dato ‘Sri Hajah Nancy Haji Shukri and Simunjan Assemblyman, Awla Dris gave away the prizes.

Also present were Simunjan District Officer, Abdul Khalid Manap and the heads of the community leaders from Simunjan.
