KUANTAN: The Sultan of Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah have expressed their deepest condolences to the families of the five victims killed in a helicopter crash in Long Lellang, Ulu Baram, Sarawak.

In a statement posted on the official Facebook page of the Kesultanan Pahang today, Their Royal Highnesses expressed sorrow over the tragedy, which occurred while the helicopter was carrying out the Ministry of Health Malaysia’s (MOH) Flying Doctor Service.

The helicopter was carrying four MOH personnel — a medical officer, an assistant medical officer and two nurses — as well as a pilot.

Their Royal Highnesses also prayed that the bereaved families would be granted strength, fortitude and patience in facing the loss of their loved ones.

They further prayed that arrangements for the victims’ remains would proceed smoothly and that operations by the relevant authorities would be carried out safely and efficiently.
