DARO: Parents here have been asked to send their special children to the Al-Syafiee Community Rehabilitation Centre (PDK) at Kampung Badong here.

Chairman of the centre, Masni Mahdi, who made the call, pointed out the centre allowed the children to be rehabilitated and to undergo professional training. “The centre also teaches them to be independent and to adapt to their environment,” she added.

She urged the public, especially parents of special children who lived in Daro and nearby districts, to make full use of the facilities offered by the centre. She added trainees at the centre also benefited from many incentives offered by the Welfare Department.
