MIRI: A van driver who refused to pay for a parking ticket at Miri Airport parking lot last Wednesday rammed the parking barrier before he sped away.
The incident reportedly happened around 3.15pm on Wednesday.
A police report on the incident was immediately lodged at Tanjong Lobang police station.
The incident was recorded by a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera in the area.
According to sources, the van was spotted exiting the parking area before it rammed the barrier and sped away. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
However, it was not immediately known how much was the parking ticket the van driver has to pay which caused him to act in such a manner.
As at press time, no arrest was made and police are still investigating the incident.
