SIBU: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) secretary-general Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi called on members to remain steadfast and deeply committed to the party.
“If misunderstandings occur, let them remain within the party. If we are truly genuine party members, let us sacrifice ourselves, but never sacrifice the party.
“Although there may be many words or questions, everything ultimately comes back to ourselves. One piece of advice I would give is that we must hold tightly and firmly to our party.
“Our party is strong compared to others because we have our own unique party culture. So, let us further strengthen our party,” he said at the PBB Central Zone Delegates Conference held at the Sibu Indoor Stadium here Saturday (Jan 11).
Nanta also called on PBB members to continue giving their best to ensure the party remains the cornerstone of Sarawak’s stability, progress and sustainability.
He urged members to support the leadership of Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg with total commitment.
“Every development plan under the Sarawak Maju Makmur 2030 initiative requires the unwavering cooperation of every PBB member.
“The success of the party depends on the spirit of unity. All members, regardless of their level, must actively contribute to this great aspiration,” he said.
He also expressed his gratitude to Abang Johari for his exceptional leadership in advancing the state.
“Under his leadership, various initiatives such as the Sarawak Digital Economy have created significant opportunities, especially for the younger generation, in the digital economy sector.
“He (Abang Johari) has also strengthened ties with the federal government, ensuring Sarawak’s rights and autonomy are safeguarded,” he said.
Stating that Sarawak is rich in natural resources and culture, he said it is the responsibility of everyone to ensure this wealth is preserved for future generations through prudent development that balances economic, social, and ecological aspects.
“Let us work together to build a resilient, harmonious, and sustainable Sarawak, with a fighting spirit and strong commitment,” he added.
