SERIAN: A local man was killed while his driver suffered minor injuries after their car skidded and overturned along Jalan Selabi-Kampung Sorak Melayu last night (Sept 7).
The accident occurred at around 9 pm when the Perodua Bezza they were travelling in, veered out of control and flipped onto its side.
Both victims were pulled out of the vehicle by passers-by before emergency responders arrived.
Paramedics later confirmed the passenger, identified as Cyprian Hilton Aron, 34, had died at the scene. His remains were handed over to the police for further action.
The 25-year-old driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firefighters from Serian station were deployed to the scene and carried out flushing works to clear the road of debris.
The Bomba team ended the operation at 10.22 pm.
