KUCHING: Datuk Patrick Liew has been re-elected as chairman of the ICOM Square Joint Management Body One (JMB One) for the 2025–2027 term, following the body’s second annual general meeting (AGM) held recently.
In his address, Liew described the reappointment as both an honour and a responsibility that requires integrity, transparency and sound leadership.
“We are tasked with balancing the expectations of owners, tenants, and the public while meeting regulatory requirements,” he said, noting that day-to-day operations must be complemented by long-term asset preservation.
He said the committee would continue to prioritise property upkeep to prevent deterioration, while also nurturing a business-friendly environment, especially for F&B and retail tenants.
“By promoting inclusivity and building strong public-business ties, we aim to ensure ICOM Square remains a vibrant and thriving commercial hub,” he added.
Liew also highlighted the development’s strategic location and accessibility, saying prudent financial management — including professional handling of the sinking fund and maintenance fees — would help sustain and grow its market value.
The AGM also saw the election of new committee members, with Bob Chew Pok Vun named vice chairman, Irawan Sudarsono as honorary secretary, and Jason Kong Jin Nian as honorary treasurer.
Other committee members include Steven Hii Poun Tun, Ercules Wong Chung Sin, Chai Kun Seng, Foo Tuck Min, and Raymond Sim Hee Pang.
