SIBU: The Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Dudong Youth Wing recently organised a National Day and Malaysia Day 2025 celebration programme to strengthen unity and invigorate national spirit.
The programme saw active participation from several PBB sub-branches, including Banyok, Sukun, Kampung Usahajaya Baru 1 to 5, Sibujaya 1, and Sibujaya 2.
According to a press statement issued by PBB Youth Wing on Friday (Sept 12), the initiative served as a platform to foster closer ties within the community while celebrating National Month with pride.
“We hope that organising such a programme can foster a culture of patriotism, especially among the younger generation and youth in this area.
“In addition, it is also a symbol of awareness of the value of patriotism among the community. The close cooperation between all the wings proves the strength of the grassroots machinery of PBB Dudong in making community activities a success.”
During the event, more than 500 Jalur Gemilang and Sarawak flags were distributed to sub-branches around Dudong as a gesture of support for the spirit of National Day and Malaysia Day.
The flag distribution also reflected the unity of Sarawak’s diverse communities comprising various races and ethnicities.
The programme was officiated by PBB Dudong deputy head Jamil Julaihi and attended by committee members.
