SARIKEI: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Repok now has a more comfortable office after moving to a new location at Jalan Abdul Rahman here.

PBB Repok Branch Secretary Boll Kassim Gani said the new office was not only easily accessible but also had a larger space, thus making it easier for the staff to operate.

Apart from being a platform to gather new members, he said the office was also a meeting place.

“This office will also be the operations room for the party machinery during the state election.  At the same time, it can also be a place for the people, especially voters in the Repok constituency, to bring up any problems.

“So far, we have not set a period of operations.  However, those who want to submit complaints can contact me at 019-8187127,” he told reporters at a luncheon with Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii on August 9.

Boll said PBB Repok had a total of 1,300 members.

“I would like to thank Datuk Seri Huang who helped a lot in the setting up of this new office.  In fact, he also donated various equipment including desks and chairs to make it easier for us to operate,” he said.

In a related development, Huang hoped that the office would be fully utilised to provide the best services to the people.

He pointed out that it could also be an important medium to strengthen the party machinery through related programmes.

“I want all members of PBB Repok to be united in preparation for the upcoming elections,” he said.

Huang said during his visit to his constituents, the people reacted positively and showed strong support to Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).

The positive response, he said, arose from their awareness of the determination of the GPS government led by the Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg to fight for the fate of the people through various initiatives.

“I hope all party members, whether PBB or SUPP in the Repok constituency, will continue to strengthen their cooperation.  We need to unite to face the big challenges in the next state election,” said Huang.
