KUCHING: The Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Women General Assembly will take place on Feb 14, PBB Women chief Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah has announced.

She explained that the event will be held in conjunction with the PBB General Assembly, which will also commence on Feb 14 and conclude on Feb 16 at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK).

党The PBB Women Movement Supreme Council (MTWPBB) is actively making preparations to ensure the smooth running and success of the PBB Convention.

“At the same time, we will continue to support the leadership of Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg in realising the vision of inclusive, progressive and people-centred state development.

“PBB Women remain steadfast in their support for Abang Johari, playing a significant role in the social, economic and political development of the state to achieve Sarawak’s aspirations for a brighter future,” she said in a statement.

Ahead of the upcoming convention, Fatimah mentioned that four zonal PBB branch delegates’ meetings will be held.

These begin with the Central Zone (Sibu Indoor Stadium) on Jan 11, Northern Zone (Pullman Hotel Miri) on Jan 18, Southern Zone (BCCK) on Jan 19, and Betong Zone (Dewan Tan Sri Datuk Amar Stephen Kalong Ningkan) on Jan 25.

All of the zonal meetings will be officiated by Abang Johari, who is also the PBB president, and will include the Women and Youth Movement’s General Assembly as well.
The theme for this year’s PBB Convention is “PBB Tonggak Kepada Kestabilan, Kemajuan Dan Kelestarian”.
