KUCHING: Youth members of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Ranting Temenggong distributed 500 packs of bubur kacang during a community outreach programme held in conjunction with Ramadan on Sunday (March 8).

The programme was organised with the support of the Kampung Temenggong Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK), Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi, several non-governmental organisations including Kelab Prodigi Kenyalang Kuching, Bantu Sarawak and Persatuan Perintis Kepimpinan Sarawak, as well as corporate partners.

Abdul Rahman hands a packet of bubur kacang to a motorist during the drive-through distribution.

The distribution took place at the compound of Masjid Darul Halim in Kampung Temenggong for residents and mosque congregants preparing to break their fast.

The activity formed part of the Ihya’ Ramadan 1447H programme organised by the youth wing to promote the spirit of sharing and community solidarity during the fasting month.

Following the distribution, the programme continued with an Iftar Mahabbah gathering held at Rumah Wanita in Kampung Temenggong, bringing together youths from the village and surrounding areas.

According to the organisers, the programme aimed to encourage youth participation in community welfare activities while strengthening ties between young leaders and grassroots communities.

Chief of Belia PBB Ranting Temenggong, Fawwiz Bolkiah, said the initiative demonstrated how collaboration between youth organisations, community leaders and private partners could help foster positive community engagement.

He noted that such cooperation also reflects the role of youth-led initiatives in strengthening social harmony at the community level.

The event was also attended by the Kampung Temenggong community chief and members of the PBB Youth Movement Exco from the Pantai Damai branch.
