KUCHING: The presence Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) Supreme Council members during state leaders’ Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house reflects their strong commitment to supporting policies that uphold local identity while encouraging innovation in the tourism, arts, and cultural industries.

PDP president Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing said the gathering symbolised efforts to bridge tradition and modernity while inspiring future generations through unity and shared responsibility.

“This warm and meaningful event is not just a Syawal celebration but also an important platform to strengthen ties between the federal and state government in pursuit of a comprehensive development vision.

“In a friendly and harmonious atmosphere, we shared hopes and aspirations to further strengthen Sarawak’s tourism and cultural sectors,” he said this on his Facebook post.

He was alluding to PDP Supreme Council members attending the Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house hosted by Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg yesterday (Mar 31).

Tiong also extended his appreciation and recognition to Wan Junaidi and the Sarawak leadership for their warm and inclusive hospitality, which has sown the seeds of continued collaboration for the collective progress.

“May this event serve as a symbol of our commitment to driving positive change for a brighter future,” he added.
