BETONG: Personnel of the Betong District Police Headquarters (IPD) have been urged to maintain integrity, professionalism and avoid any form of drug abuse and corruption.
Betong District Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent (DSP) Wan Mohamad Ali Wan Malek said the continuous commitment of his personnel is highly demanded to remain free from anything that could tarnish the image of the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM).
“I hope all Betong IPD personnel can demonstrate continuous commitment in maintaining integrity, professionalism and avoiding any form of drug abuse and corruption,” he said during the Monthly Assembly and Drug Pledge Declaration Program as well as Anti-Corruption Pledge at the parade ground yesterday (Jan 13).
In this regard, he reminded all personnel to fill in the Drug Pledge and Anti-Corruption Pledge forms for the year 2026, while completing the Malaysia Madani Public Service Training Module (MMPA) through Public Sector E-Learning (EPSA) and the Basic Fitness Training Module according to the stipulated period.
Wan Mohamad Ali also emphasised the need to enhance operations consistently, while appreciating the achievements that have been recorded by Betong IPD previously.
He described the implementation of such programmes as reflecting Betong IPD’s commitment in strengthening the values of integrity, discipline and service excellence in line with PDRM’s aspirations.
After the assembly attended by 88 Betong IPD personnel, Wan Mohamad Ali witnessed the Rank Insignia Ceremony and Handover of Duties for the Position of Betong Police Station Chief.
At the ceremony, Sergeant Sylvester Sem was awarded the rank of Acting Sergeant Major (SM).
Immediately thereafter, a handover ceremony was held between Deputy Betong Police Station Chief Sergeant Ambia Jali as the transferor, to SM Sylvester Sem as the recipient, who is also the new Betong Police Station Chief.
Wan Mohamad Ali emphasised the importance of the role of all chiefs in ensuring the presence and service of PDRM is always felt by the community in Betong District.
