KUCHING: Two senior police officers in Sarawak have been promoted and reassigned to key state-level posts following the latest leadership reshuffle within the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM).
PDRM secretary DCP Abdul Rahman Kassim in a statement today (Jan 6), said the reshuffle also involved several senior officers at Bukit Aman.
All transfers and appointments will take effect from Feb 9.
“Sibu police chief ACP Zulkipli Suhaili has been promoted to head of Sarawak Management Department, assuming the rank of acting Senior Assistant Commissioner (SAC).
“Meanwhile, head of Sarawak Integrity and Standards Compliance Department ACP Roselina Daud has been transferred to lead the State Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (JPJKK) also with the acting SAC rank,” he said.
Aside from them, Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) director Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri has been appointed the director of Bukit Aman JPJKK.
The current JPJKK director Datuk Wan Hasan Wan Ahmad will take over as Inspector-General of Police (Research and Development) Secretariat head at the IGP Secretariat Office.
Abdul Rahman stated that Datuk Seri Muhammed Hasbullah Ali, who is the head of Anti-Money Laundering Criminal Investigation Team (AMLA) at the IGP Secretariat in Bukit Aman, has been appointed the new director of the Bukit Aman JSPT.
Head of the Mechanical Engineering Studies Centre at the Police Technical Academy in Muar, ACP Pozlan Ibrahim has been appointed principal assistant director (Religion and Counselling) at the Bukit Aman Integrity and Standards Compliance Department, with the acting rank of SAC.
