MIRI: A peat fire has erupted in the vicinity of Kuala Baram today (Mar 23), with firefighters currently engaged in battling the flames.
Residents in the surrounding areas have been advised to remain indoors and refrain from venturing into the affected zones.
A report by the Miri Fire and Rescue Department Zone 6 said firemen are currently at the scene to contain the blaze and ensure the safety of the community.
A video shared by the department illustrates the severity of the situation, showing the peat fire raging through the affected areas with intense flames engulfing everything in their path.
