GEORGETOWN: A general practitioner from Penang received an unforgettable anniversary gift when he won RM11.77 million from the Toto 4D Jackpot 1 draw on March 29, 2025.
The 53-year-old doctor, who wishes to remain anonymous, said he picked the winning pair of numbers, “4486 & 5704”, based on a receipt number from a candlelight dinner he shared with his wife to celebrate their wedding anniversary.
“Those numbers just caught my eye after I paid the bill.
“Now I understand the Cantonese saying – if you love your wife, you will become rich!” he told STM Lottery Sdn Bhd.
The doctor and his wife claimed his prize at the STM Lottery’s office, calling it a “wonderful anniversary present”.
He purchased a System 3 ticket, which earned him RM11,768,682.70 and an additional RM336 in System Play bonus.
The humble winner said he plans to share the winnings with his siblings and save the remainder for his children’s future expenses.
In the same draw, another jackpot prize totalling RM219,975.30 was claimed by an i-System player from Sarawak.
