KAPIT : A grant of RM10,000 has been allocated to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Islam Kapit for the Hari Raya Qurban celebration.
This was announced by Bukit Goram assemblyman Jefferson Jamit Unyat at an event held to celebrate Hari Raya Qurban at Masjid Jabar An-Nur recently.
This year Felda (Federal Land Development Authority) donated five heads of cattle for the sacrifice that was carried out at Masjid Jabar An-Nur compound.
The ‘korban’ of cattle one of the rituals of Aidiladha was on gotong royong basis and the meat was distributed to the Muslim families here.
