KUCHING: As pickleball gains traction in Malaysia, Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali has praised the sport for its accessibility and growing appeal across all age groups.

The Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department for Law, MA63, and State-Federal Relations commended initiatives like the AFFIN50 Pickleball With Media – Sarawak Edition for using the sport to promote community spirit and active living.

“Interaction and engagement like this, playing sports, pickleball now is the thing – it is commendable and must be encouraged.

“It’s a light and rather easy sport. For seniors, it’s good, and for younger people, it’s even better,” she said.

Commending Affin Group for hosting the event, she noted that it reflected not only the importance of an active lifestyle but also the spirit of teamwork and collaboration.

“Congratulations again to Affin Group, and I hope Affin will continue to fly high together with Sarawak.

“I believe Affin will fly very high. Together with Sarawak, we can make it one of the best banks in the country, inshaAllah,” she added.
