SIBU: The National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) Sibu District in collaboration with the Sibu Anti-Drug Squad (SKUAD) organised a friendly pickleball match against the Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) Sibu Region team at the SEB Pickleball Court here recently.
According to its media statement, the match was held to foster sportsmanship and a healthy lifestyle among civil servants, volunteers and government-related companies.
“The main objective of the match is to foster sportsmanship and a healthy lifestyle among civil servants, volunteers and government-related companies.
“In addition, it also serves as a platform to strengthen the strategic cooperation network between AADK and key stakeholders in the Sibu district,” the statement said.
Moreover, the uniqueness of the event could be seen through the composition of the SKUAD members, which consisted of a combination of various government agencies, corporate bodies and statutory bodies.
Among those involved in the SKUAD team were representatives from the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM), National Registration Department (JPN), Community Development Department (KEMAS), SMK Bukit Lima, SMK Rosly Dhoby, Telekom Malaysia (TM) and the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN).
Meanwhile, the programme underscored AADK’s commitment in mobilising the energy of various agencies to support the aspirations of Controlled Drugs 2030.
“It is not only implemented through enforcement and education but also through recreational activities that build good relations between agencies,” the statement said.
Also present were Sibu District AADK Head’s representative, Mohamad Farizal Mohamad Buang. SEB Central Region Manager, Jabu Ngumbang, SKUAD Committee chairman, Raden Khairulzaman Raden Bustari, SKUAD Committee deputy chairman, Mohamad Mostapha Lasot, staff from the Sibu District AADK office as well as SEB and SKUAD members.
