KUCHING: Residents in Asajaya and Sadong Jaya are advised to store sufficient water from 10pm on February 18 until 6am the following day.
The Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) said the eight-hour water disruption will affect several areas from Kampung Sui to Kampung Sungai Buluh.
“The water cut is to enable installation works of the main interconnection pipe in Summer Mall Complex area and water supply booster pump station near Tambirat in Kota Samarahan as part of the efforts to provide better water supply to consumers in Asajaya and Sadong Jaya,” it said in a statement yesterday.
The statement added that JBALB Samarahan division will be on-standby to mobilise its water tankers to the affected areas including schools and clinics.
“Consumers can access updates and information regarding the installation work via JBALB’s official Facebook,” it added.
