BINTULU: Sixteen retirees and former police officers were honoured with the Pingat Jasa Pahlawan Negara (PJPN).

The award ceremony was held at the Bintulu District Police Headquarters Multipurpose Hall here today.

The award recognises their bravery, sacrifices and dedication in safeguarding national security.

Bintulu District Police Chief, Supt Nixon Joshua Ali, along with Deputy District Police Chief, DSP Mohd Fazri, and District Management Division Head, ASP Johnny, officiated at the medal presentation.

Adding to the significance of the event, several family members accepted the medals on behalf of deceased recipients, reaffirming the nation’s appreciation for their services.

Beyond acknowledging the contributions of former security personnel, the ceremony also fostered solidarity between the police and the community, inspiring future generations to continue serving with distinction.
