MUKAH: Rinwood Plantation Sdn Bhd (Rinwood) Sebakong and several employees donated to victims of a longhouse fire near here yesterday.
Plantation manager Nyangun Manang handed over donations to longhouse chief Tingang Ajang.
Company spokesman Mazlan Abdullah said part of the cash donation was from the staff.
He said besides cash, Rinwood also provided an excavator to help the victims clear the debris following the fire.
“The machine will also be used to help them in preparing ground work for the construction of a new longhouse,” he added.
The fire razed the longhouse but fortunately, no one was hurt.
