KUCHING: U Mobile has expanded its 5G home broadband service to East Malaysia with the launch of U Home 5G Borneo, offering unlimited high-speed internet at RM58 a month with no Fair Usage Policy.
The new plan delivers fibre-like speeds over both 5G and 4G networks and is aimed at users across Sarawak, Sabah and Labuan, the telco said in a statement.
“It uses a simple plug-and-play setup that requires no port installation, making it convenient for homeowners, renters, small business owners and those who are always on the move,” it added.
Subscribers can opt for a SIM-only plan with no contract, or a 24-month package that comes with a complimentary game-grade router.
Customers may also enhance their experience through the U Home 5G Borneo x sooka Premium streaming bundle at RM88 a month, or pair it with a Samsung Smart TV from RM64 a month via U PayLater.
U Mobile chief marketing officer Navin Manian said the rollout builds on the success of the original U Home 5G plan.
“We’re excited to bring the same high-quality experience to Borneo with an even more accessible price of RM58 monthly.
With U Home 5G Borneo, customers across Sarawak, Sabah and Labuan can enjoy unlimited ultra-fast 5G and 4G connectivity for a seamless digital experience — whether at home or at work,” he said.
The U Home 5G Borneo plan is available exclusively in East Malaysia through U Mobile branches, authorised dealers, the company’s eShop and the MyUMobile app.
