“The prime minister has announced once again that he recognises that Sarawak, through PETROS, is the gas aggregator. This is meaningful to us.
“This means we are the ones doing the distribution and selling (of gas) and this will contribute to increased revenues from our gas sector. We thank the prime minister for his recognition,” he said.
He said this when officiating at the Majlis Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri Zon 2 Satok at SK Merpati Jepang last night (Apr 20).

“The prime minister in the meeting yesterday, where I was part of, expressed his support for the roadmap where it is poised to attract hundreds of billions in investment and create job opportunities for thousands of Sarawakians.
“This will generate revenues for Sarawak as well as opportunities for our local businesses and entrepreneurs,” he said.
Ibrahim also thanked the Premier for appointing him as a deputy minister, overseeing utility as well as oil and gas matters.
“The challenge is huge as both sectors are crucial for generating revenues in the short, mid and long term.
