BAU: A man was arrested after he was suspected of being involved in drug abuse activities during a raid at a house in Kampung Opar here on Tuesday (Sept 22).
Bau district police chief Supt Mohd Haide A Rahman said the raid was conducted by a team from the Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) at around 10.50am.
“Upon inspecting the suspect, police found a straw containing crystal lumps suspected to be methamphetamine.
“The 35-year-old suspect tested positive for drug through a urine screening test.”
The case is being investigated under Section 12(2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
Mohd Haide reminded members of the public that the police force will continue to take strict action against any involvement in drug abuse activities.
