Police probe death of unidentified man

KAPIT: The police have launched an investigation after an unidentified man was found dead on the five-foot way of an abandoned building near Market Teresang, here, on Dec 30, 2024.

According to a report issued by Kapit police chief DSP Rohana Nanu, officers from the police station here received a report from the public at 1.45 am regarding an unconscious man at the location.

Upon arrival, the police discovered that the man had already been confirmed dead. He had no identification documents and was known as William Jok, based on verbal information.

Following the discovery, the authorities have opened a sudden death investigation paper. The police are urging anyone who may recognise the deceased, particularly his next of kin or relatives, to contact Assistant Chief of Kapit Police Station, Sgt Kenneth Ampis, at 019-6426100 for further inquiries.
