MIRI: Police are investigating the discovery of suspected human skeletal remains in a forested area at Batu 7, Jalan Miri-Bintulu, near here.
Miri district police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu confirmed receiving a report on the incomplete skeletal remains in the area.
Preliminary investigations revealed several skeletal fragments clustered together, believed to belong to a human.
The police found no identification documents at the scene, and the victim’s identity remains unknown.
Investigations at the location revealed no signs of foul play, according to the authorities.
Alexson urged anyone with information or knowledge of missing relatives or friends to come forward and contact the nearest police station or call 085-433730 to assist in the investigation.
