Police seek public’s help to locate missing man

KAPIT: Police are appealing for information on the whereabouts of a 54-year-old Iban man who has been reported missing since last Saturday.

Kapit District Police Chief, DSP Rohana Nanu, said the missing man, identified as Pika Rangga whose last address appeared to be at Rumah Sura, Kerangan Bangat Ulu, Batang Rajang, was last seen after dropping off a friend at a rented house near Kapit market at 3:50 am on August 9.

“Earlier, on August 8 at 3:00 pm, Pika departed from Kapit market after meeting his wife to go to work.

“He travelled in his purple Perodua Bezza bearing registration number QS8054P,” she said in a statement on Thursday.

Anyone with information on Pika’s whereabouts is urged to contact Investigating Officer, Sub-Inspector Sadinah Abbas Sulai, at 019-8582122, the Kapit District Police Headquarters hotline at 084-796222, the Kapit Police Station hotline at 084-799622, or the nearest police station.
