BINTANGOR: Political Secretary to the Chief Minister, Teng Ung Woo recently visited a poor farmer and his family who lived with no electricity and water supply at Sg Petai here.
With him were Meradong State Assemblyman, Datuk Ding Kwong Hing and an officer from the Welfare Department.
Teng said he was concerned that the farmer’s 14-year-old daughter had left school two years ago.
He said the welfare officer helped the farmer to apply for welfare aid and encouraged the girl to go back to school.
