KUCHING: The Borneo Raft Safari 2025 received strong backing from the Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) and Sibu Rural District Council (MDLBS).
In a press statement, MPP said that the closing registration would be on October 5 as more than 150 teams have registered thus far.
The overwhelming response highlighted the event’s popularity and its role in promoting eco-tourism and strengthening community spirit.
Attention has now turned to the Serian Raft Safari on October 25, held in conjunction with Karnival Serian.
Councillors and collaborating agencies, including the Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC), Civil Defence Forces Malaysia (APM), Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and the Sarawak Rivers Board (LSS), have pledged full support to ensure the safety and success of the event.
The Serian Raft Safari is expected to showcase the district’s river culture, traditions and adventurous spirit, complementing the Padawan edition.
As the Borneo Raft Safari grows to connect Padawan, Serian and other districts, it continues to strengthen Sarawak’s reputation as a leading eco-adventure destination.
Registration for the Serian Raft Safari is now open via the official website: www.borneoraftsafari.com.
