GEDONG: The tradition of distributing ‘bubur lambuk’ and ‘bubur pedas’ to residents in Gedong during Ramadan returns this year.

According to a Sarawak Public Communications Unit report, the distribution was done by Gedong assemblyman Datuk Mohd Naroden Majais at Dataran Gedong on Sunday (April 10).

“Porridge is donated to the less fortunate folk, mosques, and surau every evening for the breaking of fast.

“It is also distributed to those who visit the Ramadan Bazaar at Dataran Gedong,” he said.

“Thank you to the Premier of Sarawak for also giving allocation to the Gedong and Pangkor zones to hold this programme.”

Naroden also inspected the conditions at the Dataran Gedong Ramadan Bazaar and handed out aprons to the traders.
