KOTA SAMARAHAN: The Kota Samarahan Civic Centre upgrading and expansion project, which will enable the facility to accommodate up to 2,500 individuals at one time, has been approved by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
According to Abang Johari, the project is crucial as the hall is frequently used for large-scale events, including community programmes, festive celebrations, official functions and activities involving people from all walks of life.
He said this during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House hosted by Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Rubiah Wang here on Sunday.
The project was proposed by Rubiah, who is also the Kota Samarahan MP, and Muara Tuang assemblyman Datuk Idris Buang.
However, specific details regarding the project have yet to be disclosed.
