Premier briefs TYT on state’s development progress during courtesy call

KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar today received a courtesy call from Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Kasuma Resort, Petra Jaya.

The meeting, held at 10 am, forms part of the constitutional requirement and established practice prior to a state cabinet meeting.

According to a statement, the meeting was conducted in a cordial atmosphere, with both parties holding in-depth discussions on Sarawak’s direction, particularly matters related to the state’s development agenda.

Wan Junaidi also shared his views on several current issues, including aspects of state administration and the economy.

He expressed appreciation for the policies and ongoing planning undertaken by the Premier to position Sarawak among the more developed regions in Malaysia by 2030.
