JAKARTA: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg arrived in Jakarta today to begin an official working visit in conjunction with his participation at the Indonesia Economic Summit 2026.
He landed at 11.24am local time and was received by the deputy Chief of Mission at the Malaysian Embassy in Jakarta, Farzamie Sarkawi.
Abang Johari is scheduled to deliver a special keynote address highlighting Sarawak’s development perspectives and economic priorities at the summit on Feb 3.
His participation reflects Sarawak’s continued commitment to strengthening regional cooperation, particularly in areas related to economic growth, sustainability and strategic investment.
Accompanying the Premier on the working visit are State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and Deputy State Secretary (Economic Planning and Development) Datuk Seri Dr Muhammad Abdullah Zaidel.
