Premier inspects SK Abang Aing’s upgrading project progress

SRI AMAN: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg made a brief visit to SK Abang Aing, in conjunction with his working visit to Sri Aman today.

During the visit, which lasted about 30 minutes, he was briefed by Sarawak Public Works Department (PWD) Director, Dr Cassidy Morris, on the progress of the school’s upgrading project, as SK Abang Aing has been classified as a dilapidated school.

The upgrading project involves the construction of three dilapidated buildings, namely Blocks A, B and C, construction of a new toilet block and a SESCO substation.

Construction began on August 12 this year and is expected to be fully completed by June 11, 2027.

Also present during the visit were Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development, Datuk Francis Harden Hollis; Deputy Minister of International Trade, Industry and Investment, Datuk Dr Malcolm Mussen Lamoh; Deputy State Secretary (Economic Planning and Development), Datuk Seri Dr Muhammad Abdullah Zaidel; Lingga Assemblywoman, Dayang Noorazah Awang Sohor; Bukit Begunan Assemblyman, Datuk Mong Dagang; and others.
