Premier meets GPS MPs, senators in KL

KUCHING: Premier Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) chairman Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg held a meeting with Members of Parliament (MPs) and senators from the state’s ruling coalition in Kuala Lumpur last night (Feb 3).

The meeting was held in conjunction with the Fourth Session of the 15th Parliament, which is currently in session.

During the meeting, GPS MPs  and senators were briefed by the State Attorney-General Datuk Seri Saferi Ali, on matters involving the legislative powers of the federal and Sarawak government.

Apart from that, they were also given an update on the flood situation in Sarawak, assistance for victims, and post-flood recovery plans by State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohammad Abu Bakar Marzuki.

Among those present were Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusuf, as well as federal ministers and GPS deputy ministers.
