KUCHING: More than six months after the passing of the late Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang, the devotion of Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg to his beloved wife continues to be reflected through quiet acts of remembrance and prayer.

The loss of his life partner of 48 years has not diminished the bond they shared.

Instead, it remains present in the Premier’s daily reflections and prayers, reflecting a deep sense of loyalty and gratitude for a wife who stood by him through nearly five decades of life’s journey.

It is understood that almost every Friday morning, before commencing his official duties, the Premier makes a brief stop at his late wife’s grave to offer prayers.

The gesture reflects a personal moment of remembrance and respect, honouring the enduring partnership they shared.

On Friday (Jan. 9), the Premier visited the grave of the late Juma’ani at the Semariang Islamic Cemetery here, accompanied by their daughter, Dayang Norjihan.

The solemn visit showcases strong family values and the continuity of love and respect within the family. It symbolises his enduring devotion despite the separation between this world and the hereafter.

It serves as a reminder that love and remembrance can transcend time, continuing through prayers and cherished memories.
