SRI AMAN: Preparations for the Sarawakku Sayang (SKS) 2026 Sri Aman Division programme are progressing steadily.
Ministries, departments and agencies are working closely together to ensure the smooth delivery of government services to the people.
Deputy Sarawak Secretary (Economic Planning and Development) Datuk Seri Dr Muhammad Abdullah Zaidel said close coordination among all parties is essential to ensure the programme, which will be held from Sept 25 to 27, achieves its objectives.
He said this while chairing the SKS 2026 Sri Aman Division Programme (Southern Zone) Divisional Committee Coordination Meeting at Wisma SADA here on Wednesday (Aug 5).
The meeting reviewed the latest progress of preparations, with the Sri Aman Division Resident’s Office and the Sarawak Implementation Monitoring Unit (SIMU), as the implementing committee, presenting updates on planning and implementation.
Among the key matters discussed were programme management, security arrangements, the participation of government agencies, as well as community involvement to ensure the event runs smoothly.
Muhammad Abdullah also called on all committees to carry out their responsibilities proactively to ensure every aspect of the programme delivers meaningful benefits to the people.
Following the meeting, he and his delegation visited several proposed venues to assess the suitability of the facilities, site layout, participant movement and logistical requirements.
The SKS 2026 Sri Aman Division programme will take place at the Sri Aman Sports Complex from Sept 25 to 27.
The annual programme serves as a platform for the state government to bring its services closer to the people, while allowing the public to learn more about the state’s development initiatives and welfare programmes.
The programme is also expected to strengthen engagement between government agencies and local communities, making it easier for the public to access essential services and information.
