KUCHING: Preparations are in full swing for the upcoming 79th birthday celebration of the Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, with agencies meeting today (Sept 29) to coordinate key arrangements.
A coordination meeting was held this afternoon at the Astana Negeri Sarawak, chaired by Senior Private Secretary to the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Datuk Seri Syed Hamzah Syed Paie.
The session brought together representatives from multiple agencies to ensure smooth execution of the investiture ceremony and other official programmes.
Agencies involved include the Sarawak Administration Unit; Sarawak Protocol, Ceremonies and Event Management Unit; Public Works Department (PWD), Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), RTM, Department of Information Sarawak, Kuching North City Commission (DBKU), TVS, and senior officers from the Astana Negeri.
Discussions focused on invitations and protocol, logistics, venue preparation, traffic and security control, hospitality, health and emergency services, publicity, and event management.
Syed Hamzah thanked the agencies for their commitment and expressed confidence that the events would be carried out successfully.
The meeting concluded with a site inspection at the Astana Negeri’s main hall.
