KUCHING: Two years leading the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living have prepared Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi well for his new role at the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP).
According to Nanta, KUSKOP shares many similarities in terms of functions and challenges, further strengthening his confidence in refining the implementation of existing policies and programmes.
“On my first day setting foot in KUSKOP, I brought with me the segulai sejalai spirit to move forward together in empowering the nation’s entrepreneurs.
“I am ready to continue the existing policies and strengthen strategies that directly benefit entrepreneurs across the country,” he said in a post on his official Facebook page today.
Nanta said KUSKOP plays an important role in ensuring that every form of support, opportunity and government initiative truly reaches the people, in addition to elevating the entrepreneurial and cooperative ecosystem to a higher level.
He also expressed confidence that the cooperation of all ministry personnel will further enhance efforts to strengthen the sector.
On Dec 3, Nanta officially assumed the role of Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, replacing Datuk Ewon Benedick who resigned as a member of the Federal Cabinet on Nov 8.
