PAKAN: Three major development projects involving a total cost of RM55 million will be implemented in here to strengthen infrastructure facilities and boost local socio-economic growth.
Adviser in the Premier’s Office (Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development) Tan Sri Datuk Seri William Mawan Ikom said the projects to be carried out are the construction of Pakan Central Hall, Pakan Square and Pakan Waterfront.
“The projects are not only aimed at enhancing and upgrading infrastructure facilities but will also have a significant impact on the economic activities of the local community,” he saidduring the Pakan constituency development projects meeting with implementing agencies here Tuesday.
Mawan, who is also Pakan assemblyman said development is expected to be a catalyst for Pakan’s socio-economic growth and will also provide more comfortable and conducive recreational facilities for residents in Pakan and the surrounding areas.
