KUCHING: A property developer was ordered by the Sarawak House Buyers Tribunal Court at Petra Jaya here to pay compensation totalling RM56,035.63 to three property buyers for late delivery.
The first buyer who made RM44, 966.00 claim for the late delivery of her apartment located at Jalan Wan Alwi, Kuching here was compensated RM16,226 while the second buyer who made claim for RM34,594 was compensated RM18,785 whereas the third buyer who made claim for RM33,366.00 also for late delivery was compensated RM21,161.
Another apartment buyer who made claim for RM22,169.00 from the same property developer, however, did not get any compensation. Meanwhile, another property developer yesterday was also ordered to pay compensation of RM1,867 to a buyer for a late delivery of his double storey terrace house located in Muara Tuang Land District, Kota Samarahan.
The Tribunal Court ordered that payments be made within 45 days and rectification to defects to be done within 30 days. The Tribunal yesterday was presided by Robert Elone Anak Sireng and assisted by Trabawan Ak. Mandi and Haji Alhadi Bin Ibrahim.
