KUCHING: The core mission of Sarawak Development Institute (SDI) and Angkatan Zaman Mansang Sarawak (AZAM) remains the same, which is to provide independent and grassroots inputs and pertinent feedback on current and emerging development policies, initiatives, and programmes.

According to chairman of SDI Datuk Amar Jaul Samion, they are planning to achieve this through high-impact research projects and strategic communication initiatives.

“I hope we can complement each other’s work and create a more holistic impact,” he said when speaking at the Gawai Dayak Gathering organized by Greater AZAM here today.

As this festive occasion is celebrated, he said it is important to continue to embrace the values of respect, harmony, and mutual support that Gawai Dayak embodies.

He said these values are not just central to the celebration today but also the foundation of Greater AZAM and a prosperous Sarawak as they are well established and practiced among the secretariats and the members of both organisations.

“With that, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the secretariat team for their hard work and dedication in making this gathering a success. Your efforts are truly appreciated.

“I wish everyone here a joyous and meaningful Gawai Dayak. May this celebration bring you happiness, prosperity, and good health. Let us move forward together in the spirit of”Segulai Sejalai”- united and harmonious,” he said.
