SIMANGGANG: Members of Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) at all levels have been urged to work diligently and cooperate closely to strengthen the party’s standing.

Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department and PRS president, Datuk Seri John Sikie Tayai, said this could be achieved by focusing on increasing membership across all divisions.

“I hope each division can target at least 3,000 members to reinforce the party’s strength and machinery at the grassroots level,” he said during his speech at the Simanggang Zone Pre-Christmas 2025 Dinner held at Hotel Seri Simanggang on Saturday.

He also called on more professionals and experts to join PRS, bringing their skills and fresh ideas to support the party’s mission and Sarawak’s development.

Sikie also expressed his gratitude to all party members and delegates for their support during the recent PRS Triennial Delegates Conference (TDC), where he was entrusted to lead as party president.

The dinner was attended by Deputy Digital Minister Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong, Bukit Begunan assemblyman and organising chairman Datuk Mong Dagang, community leaders, party representatives and residents from across the Sri Aman Division.
