BINTULU: PS Muaythai Bintulu stamped their dominance at the 2025 Bintulu Amateur Muaythai Challenge (BAMC) Vol. 3 International, emerging as overall champions with a haul of 15 gold and 19 silver medals here on Sunday (June 29).
The event saw Muaythai Kenyalang (Kuching) secure second place with 14 gold and 3 silver medals, while Muaythai Kilas Petra Jaya finished third with 6 gold and 3 silver medals.
Warmonger Training Academy came fourth with 5 gold and 1 silver wins, followed by D30 Muaythai Club in fifth with 4 gold and 5 silvers medals.
The tournament featured a series of standout performances from Malaysian fighters.
Among the highlights was Azhad’s win over Russia’s Mehrubon Mardonov in the 76kg category, and Aiman Taro’s spirited victory against Thailand’s Rachasay Lion King in the 59kg division.
Other notable bouts included Kamarul-Apikamal Ikhmal (Malaysia) defeating Abdul Qayyum (Sarawak), and Danyal Johan (Brunei) overcoming Omar Kulin (Malaysia) in a fiercely contested 75kg match.
In the women’s 47kg category, Nur Rania Rayhnna (Johor) bested host athlete Athilya Yushra (Sarawak), while Razie Raffizie (Sarawak) impressed in the 50kg division with a win over Isma Daniel (Pakistan).

Michael Lim Vee Wen of Singa 30 Muaythai Club was named Best Male Athlete.
Also receiving male athlete honours were Mohammad Fidzrull Iqram (Muaythai Kilas Petra Jaya) and Malvin (Top Dog Factory Muaythai Gym).
Top female athlete awards went to Abriella Kimberly (PS Muaythai Bintulu), Noor Qasliya Qistina (Muaythai Kenyalang), and Gracia Lionel Edward (D30 Muaythai Club).
The closing ceremony saw Steven Kong Kai Seng, representing Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing, and Daud Mohamed, advisor to the Bintulu Muaythai Association, on behalf of PMNS president Jumaat Ibrahim in attendance.
Held at Naim Street Mall from June 27 to 29, the tournament featured more than 200 participants from Thailand, Russia and Brunei Darussalam taking part in this year’s edition.
