GEORGE TOWN: A Form 3 Assessment (PT3) candidate was found dead after falling from the 11th floor of the apartment building she lived in at Lebuh Sungai Pinang 1, here, yesterday.

Northeast District Police chief ACP Che Zaimani Che Awang said the 15-year-old girl was found by the pool of the apartment by a cleaner at 8.45 am, before contacting the police.

“Based on the investigation, the victim fell from her bedroom window, and when found, she was dressed in her pyjamas without any shoes on. The girl also left behind three letters for her mother and her two friends respectively,” he said.

According to Zaimani, the teenager who was supposed to sit for her PT3 examination yesterday suffered severe head and chest injuries, and her body was taken to the Penang Hospital for post-mortem.

He added that initial investigations found there was no foul play involved, and the victim acted in the manner due to stress from family issues.-Bernama
