KUALA LUMPUR: Inland Revenue Board Malaysia (IRBM) has issued a strong reminder to the public regarding the unauthorised use of its logo and any references to the agency.

The warning emphasises that using IRBM’s logo or making references to it for marketing, advertising, or any similar purposes across print media, social media, video publications, and other platforms without permission is strictly prohibited.

“As a Federal Statutory Body, HASiL is taking a serious stance on this matter. Unauthorised use of the IRBM logo or references can mislead the public and is considered an offence under Section 1, Schedule 1 of the Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act 1963 [Act 414],” it said in a press statement today (Aug 7).

The agency stressed that any use of its logo or references without prior approval is forbidden and would not hesitate to take firm action against any parties involved, as permitted by the applicable laws.

In light of recent scams involving the misuse of the IRBM name and logo, HASiL has issued several reminders through media statements and infographics.

The public is urged to stay vigilant and avoid falling victim to such schemes. For further information on taxation, the public can visit the official HASiL portal at [www.hasil.gov.my](http://www.hasil.gov.my).

For inquiries or feedback, the public can contact the Hasil Contact Centre (HCC) at 03-8911 1000 (within Malaysia) or +603-8911 1000 (overseas). Alternatively, HASiL can be reached through HASiL Live Chat or the feedback form available on their official portal.
